What the Position Entails:

The Technical Consultant at Omatic is a key player in an exciting, customer interfacing role that couples technical and customer relationship skills to successfully implement and provide integration customization services for enterprise customers working with Blackbaud’s BBCRM solution.  Working in a fast-paced environment, the Technical Consultant will work to implement, upgrade, and configure various custom solutions. They will work within a defined project team throughout the lifecycle of delivery.  The Technical Consultant will participate and support requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deploy a custom solution to meet the customer’s business and technical requirements.   

Our Professional Services team handles custom integration support, customization creation, custom form creation, and custom reporting within BBCRM. Our customers benefit from our technical expertise in BBCRM development as well as our knowledge of the non-profit industry and past customer solutions. This role is a trusted advisor; someone our customers look to for best practices within their BBCRM platform.  

As a Technical Consultant for Omatic Software, you are critical to the success of the company as a lead for BBCRM Customizations within the Professional Services Team. Your mission is to delight our customers in their use of our customizations and services. The success of this role will be measured by the overall business impact, customer adoption, and quality of customization setup delivered by the consultant. 

  What You Will be Doing:

  • Accurately assess customer needs  
  • Create quality, functional code-based solutions to customer needs  
  • Test code before deployment  
  • Support and troubleshoot solutions post-customer deployment 
  • Write and deliver professional documentation customized to the individual needs of customers  
  • Identify creative technical solutions to complex data issues 
  • Deliver high quality engagements on time and within budget 
  • Accurately track and report project hours, notes, and status  
  • Conduct internal software trainings 
  • Participate in customer forums and blog posts 
  • Assist Omatic Sales with scoping and selling customization services 
  • Engage in professional development to ensure ongoing industry knowledge 

What You Will Bring to Omatic:

  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to self-manage advancing product knowledge 
  • Knowledge of BBCRM and BBCRM development Framework (SDK) 
  • Project Management skills including scheduling, task management and the ability to work with multiple customers /projects simultaneously 
  • Superior time management skills 
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to identify and target needs, define technical concepts, and deliver accurate project deliverables 
  • Attention to detail with a strong ability to organize, manage, and execute projects as assigned 
  • Strong knowledge of C# and SQL Server 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment 
  • Ability to work with a variety of skill levels 
  • Ability to travel in the future, though currently work is delivered remotely
